"The process of self healing is the privilege of every human being. Self healing is not a miracle, nor is it a question of being able to do something that most people can't

Self healing is a process that occurs through the relationship between the physical and the infinite power of the soul - that is the science of Kundalini Yoga"

The word yoga itself means "union": of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Many people think of yoga only as physical exercises — the asanas or postures that are so widely found in every city  — but these are actually only one aspect of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. This science (Sanatana Dharma) studied and devised by the rishis of India was taught by the Hindu sages, mystics, and saints of India for thousands of years, fortunately preserved despite many invasions and occupations of this vast land, and despite many attempts to annihilate this ancient wisdom.

The word “kundalini” literally means “the curl of the lock of hair”. It is a sanskrit word describing the flow of energy and consciousness (awareness) that already exists within each one of us. This energy resides at the base of the spine. Through the practice of Yoga, we awaken this energy in order to realise our creative potential.

The essence of the yoga path was set forth in systematic form by the ancient sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. The yoga system of Patanjali is known as the Eightfold Path, which leads to the final goal of God or Self-Realization.

Yama (moral conduct): non injury to others

Niyama (religious observances): purity of body and mind, contentment in all circumstances, self-discipline, self-study (contemplation)

Asana: right posture

Pranayama: control of prana, the subtle life force in the body

Pratyahara: going within by withdrawal of the senses from external objects

Dharana: focused concentration

Dhyana: meditation, absorption in the vast perception of God as Bliss, Peace, Cosmic Light, Cosmic Sound, Love, Wisdom,

Samadhi: oneness with the Cosmic Consciousness

Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic form of yoga that uses sets of physical postures and movements (asana),mudras (hand positions), mental focus, breathing exercises (pranayama), chanting (mantra) and deep relaxation.
